UHPC STONE VENEER

Thin lightweight composite facade panels made from natural veneer stone backed with ultra-high performance concrete. This next generation stone-faced precast solution is bringing prefabrication for tightly jointed stone facades to another level. It is suited for complex three-dimensional geometries calling for specifications beyond current size or weight limitations. Ultra-thin, full floor height elements no longer requiring tower cranes for installation help maximize floor space use while guaranteeing long-term durability and thermal load mitigation.

NATURAL STONE FACADES HELP DECARBONIZE YOUR BUILDING

Natural stone is the most sustainable cladding material. It is a local product and it occurs naturally everywhere as the entire earth’s crust is made of stone. Other than glass, cement or ceramic it requires no energy to transform, very little energy to quarry and fabricate. Stone can be 100% recycled to aggregate, gravel or brick. Decommissioned quarries become natural biotopes. Embodied carbon is very low. And so is the operational carbon as natural stone clad buildings require only 30% of the energy to heat and cool buildings compared to glass facades. Natural stone’s enhanced durability and ease of maintenance extends the lifecycle beyond any other cladding material. Graceful aging of stone clad buildings prevents premature replacements.
